What could Dr. Jennings continue to do because it works well?
  • Mindtap
  • Keep being passionate and awesome!! (:
  • Constant communication with students!
  • Polleverywhere
  • The Poll everywhere questions really helped me feel as if I was engaged in the class instead of just being talked to
  • Being herself. She is great to get along with and shows empathy with very extreme situations that arise due the the subject matter of the course.
  • Poll everywhere questions, holding exam review sessions and her notes in mindtap were EXTREMELY helpful.
  • Positive attitude and involvement
  • Have enthusiasm during lectures! They're honestly fun to go to each week
  • The exam reviews are AMAZING you have awesome TAs (let them know they are great :)). Plus your lectures are awesome you kept my attention the whole time I totally loved going to your class.
  • Everything! This was the best class I have taken at the university so far. I can only hope that my next professors are as good as Dr. Jennings
  • The way she formats lectures and uses poll everywhere is extremely helpful. Poll Everywhere helps me a lot more than clicker questions. The Study guides and MindTap highlights/ notes were extremely helpful while studying for the exams. The enthusiasm and analogies helped lectures be more fun and interesting. Sharing the power points with us on canvas was great! I always felt prepared coming to class. Using memes in lecture helped students relate content to entertainment and I feel as though that helped us (me) memorize the material better because I had something to relate/refer to.
  • Active participation with poll everywhere
  • Memes. But in reality Dr. Jennings is able to relate the content of the lectures to things that students will understand well and it helps clarify things that may be more confusing. Overall, she makes the class and content of the class entertaining to learn and very relatable.

What could Dr. Jennings do to improve the course or her teaching?
  • Nothing
  • Nothing it’s great
  • She’s not a good professor. Good professors don’t give up on a class just because it is hard, they still teach the class even though it isn’t easy.
  • N/A. I think she did a fantastic job. Her teaching style is the best kind of style in my opinion. This was one of my favorite courses. I am so happy I took this class.

Are there any specific adjustments Dr. Jennings made after the covid-19 remote learning switch that you feel were particularly helpful? If so, please describe them below.
  • Yes. She made there be one less exam and this was so helpful.
  • Dr. Jennings was the best professor I had this semester by understanding this is a difficult time for everyone and adapting to students struggles and concerns.
  • Dr. Jennings did great during the vivid 19 situation. I feel like clear communication during this time is vital for students success and Dr. Jennings continued to communicate to us through Canvas about grade updates, research requirements, and advice on getting the best grade possible. She also keeps things light hearted by sending memes and being real with us. I truly appreciate her constant effort and she made this online switch much more bearable.
  • COMMUNICATION. Dr. Jennings was one of the few professors that I had that was very candid about communication. She always made sure to keep the entire class up to date on any adjustments that were made.
  • The early end to the class really lifted weight off my shoulders
  • I really enjoyed watching your video lectures, and I believe including the poll everywhere questions made them even more engaging and increased my understanding of the topic. I believe Dr. Jennings did a wonderful job with the switch to remote learning.
  • She cancelled the last test and the final which was incredibly helpful because it was impossible to teach myself all of the content given the circumstances
  • She was EXTREMELY understanding and helpful during these crazy times. She always posted lectures on time and gave us supplemental learning supplies as well as an abundance of slack if we had personal issues to deal with. Definitely the best professor at ASU if you ask me.
  • Lessening the work load and having compassion for her students
  • She didn’t do anything. She just gave up on the class and didn’t do anything to try and help the students in her class. It was actually embarrassing on her part.
  • Gave us time to adjust, and lightened the load which was very helpful!
  • Dr. Jennings decided to relieve some stress on students by finishing the course early! This helped me a lot because transitioning to online classes was hard for me. I loved this class; however, finishing the course early meant less work on our shoulders. This allowed me to focus on my lab assignments and other classes more. I hope to take another one of Dr. Jennings' classes soon.
  • One adjustment that Dr. Jennings made during the remote learning that was very helpful was sending out weekly Canvas announcements that allowed us students to know exactly what was expected of us at all times.
  • I appreciated how you made adjustments to the grading to make it easier on us
  • She was really flexible in teaching the concepts through video lectures
  • The nice encouraging video was super sweet and caring and no other professor showed that they care about us the way Dr. Jennings did.
  • the youtube short videos (kinda cartoonish but it was easy to follow along and understand)
  • She adjusted the workload and system to be much more accommodating given the circumstances and regularly checked up on us.

Leave some advice/insight about the course for students to read next semester!
  • Take the time to do all the readings and go to class! Dr. Jennings has REALLY interesting lectures so they’re definitely worth your time. Also, stay on track! It’s easy to fall behind, but it’s also easy to prevent it.
  • Go to class. Dr. Jennings is really passionate about what she teaches and makes class enjoyable!
  • Take good notes! Be engaged in class and come prepared by reading the chapter!!
  • Make sure you take advantage of the exam review sessions and the TAs because they definitely made an impact on my grade in this class.
  • go to lecture!
  • Go to class or if we’re online watch the lectures!!! Listen to what she has to say, and go to the exam reviews :) take a deep breath and you’ll get an A
  • Time management is absolutely key! Space out the readings, they take longer than you think they will.
  • GO TO THE TA'S EXAM REVIEWS! (thank me later)
  • Don’t pick her as a teacher if it is online.
  • Take good notes and you’ll do great! Dr. Jennings is an amazing professor to have :)
  • Make sure you fill out the study guide! Use MindTap and Notes to give you the answers! Reading her MindTap notes and highlights helped me so much when studying for the exams! Don't just use google for the answer. All the material on the study guide is on the exam! Make sure you study that!
