  • this was my favorite class to take, Dr. jennings is the best professor ive had so far.

  • This course was kind of all over the place. Yes, her means in which to access the course work and assignments were organized, but the actual course content was all over the place. My brother is a psychology major and I would constantly be asking him for help and he just did not approve of the types of questions she used to test our knowledge. Very disappointed in this psychology 101 class, I'll give her the benefit of doubt that it was all through zoom. But I was not liking the way she ran her course in my opinion.
  • This course was great please continue as is.
  • The professor really kept students engaged. Teacher Assistants were also really great.
  • The only suggestion I have is to talk about the things on the quiz the class period before the quiz not the class period after the quiz.
  • The exams are very different than the reviews and Dr. Jennings does not offer much help in terms of direct help she will just refer you to a TA.
  • The exams were VERY difficult this whole semester. I wish they were a bit easier, similar to the quizzes.
  • Providing more helpful examples towards some of the materials
  • Tests are weighed SO MUCH. Impossible to get a good grade if you struggle with tests and a lot of the time content in the exams are different from study guides and notes.
  • One suggestion would be to give credit towards clickers.

  • No I think it was ran perfectly and was very engaging, definitely one of my favorite classes.

  • More in depth during the lectures, less long reading assignments for a 101 course
  • Maybe do the lesson for the chapters before the quiz instead of after.
  • The exams were very difficult. It required me basically take notes on every single word out of my textbook.
  • Make the exams more reflective of material learned in textbook
  • Make TA reviews better.
  • Less tests and follow what other teachers teach
  • I think this course would be better if there was a lot more instruction that took place in the lectures.
  • I think the professor did a good job at making class fun.
  • I hated the structure of this class. Having to teach myself everything, and reviewing it with the professor was not an effective way for me to learn.
  • I feel the textbook content and Zoom lectures could have actually taught more about the content and trying to apply it all to applications which the exams seem to cover a lot more. The lectures honestly felt like a poor use of time where instead of doing polls could have taken more time reviewing and asking questions about the homework questions. I also feel that YellowDig added a lot more busy work to the class that doesn't help much. It becomes more tedious when I already have more work elsewhere.
  • I feel as though the flipped course format was relatively okay, but I really didn't feel like we learned a lot during the Wednesday lectures, even though the professor was entertaining. The material was not super challenging or entertaining a lot of the times, but it did allow me to understand some of the basics of psychology.
  • I do not
  • Have more review time before the exam
  • Her lecture meetings were a little chaotic for me. I would've preferred lecture meetings to be more structured, in which students could gain a further understanding of the concepts outside of the assigned readings. I found the trivia-like style of lectures to be a little overwhelming in such a big class and not very useful of my time.
  • Add more application problems to the lectures to feel more like exam questions.
  • Dr. Jennings was a great teacher. Her ability to bring students together via online platforms in order to conduct discussion was extremely impressive given the circumstances. I could tell had a deep understanding of the course material and her guide notes for readings, though long and timely, were very helpful for the exams.

  • everything is good
  • The optional fourth exam was very helpful.
  • The class was well put together and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you.
  • The answers on tests and quizzes ARE SO SIMILAR its crazy
  • Teach the material that is on the exam in the lectures. Do not penalize students for things that are out of their control. Make the teaching more varied other than just using mindtap the entire year because it was not engaging enough.
  • Summary of the lesson in class with important terms defined
  • Sometimes I feel like I do not know what things are important to remember. All things are important to remember, but this gave me a harder time with notes.
  • On tests, I would make the questions more straightforward. Also, in class I would like to see more examples like the ones that were on the test

  • Less reading more teaching
  • Kahoot was very beneficial for the exam review sessions, so utilizing this for all of the reviews would be fantastic!
  • It's really challenging and taking it online doesn't help.
  • I would suggest that the professor takes more time to go over the material in class before the quizzes because it is all basically self taught. Professor only goes over the material after the quiz.
  • I think what we read and learn isn't like what the exam gives. Although it is interesting, I have studied with others, the exam doesn't match with what we read, Some of it does, but the exam gives examples that makes it difficult.
  • I think the online textbook is more informative than the crash course videos
  • I really enjoyed using the Clickers through the app to answer questions during lectures. It made me think :)
  • Easier Tests
  • Although many students would argue against what I am about to say, you should make some sort of mandatory homework. I feel that this would help the students better understand the content. This was not a problem I had but I've heard other students struggled studying, I feel that this could be beneficial to there learning types.
  • All good. I think a student who takes the review for the exam would get a good grade. By the way, the TA Eva was really good at helping students.

Do you have any suggestions for this instructor?
  • No suggestions, Dr. Jennings really knows what she's talking about and she's very good at communicating these concepts. I'm a senior here at ASU and she is one of the most clear/direct/coherent professors I've had. She doesn't give confusing directions or complicated assignments. Love her!

  • make exams more reflective of material discussed. Seems like there's too much information that isn't needed
  • get rid of yellowdig
  • Your class was always so intriguing and fun, keep up the good work!
  • There is nothing that needs improvement. Just keep the pace, wonderful.
  • The lectures are always a pleasure. Would continue to learn in these lectures, even if I keep getting the answers wrong.
  • She was very excitable and an awesome teacher to have as a professor. I am going to miss her dearly.
  • She is very passionate and engaging with her work.
  • She has a lot of classes so she is not able to individually help people, however, her TA's have done an amazing job going over questions and examples with you if you go to their office hours.
  • Nothing
  • Not a fan of this class at all. Professor is a very nice person, I just did not enjoy this class.

  • Make the course less dependent on readings from a textbook that is boring and more dependent on teaching in lectures. Lectures were average because there were only a few practice questions per lecture. The only good thing was Dr. Jennings enthusiasm about the material and her fun attitude. Other than that, I could not honestly recommend this course to anyone.
  • Keep up the enthusiasm you have during lectures!
  • Keep doing your thing because it's working for most students
  • I just didn't understand the instructors method. She was enthusiastic in zoom class but I believe that the content could have been structured way better. The flow of chapters didn't make any sense.
  • Having lecture before quizzes would be better for the class.
  • Continue as is
  • she was cool, good prof

  • Very engaged and always kept my attention
  • This instructor needs to treat her students more fairly. She should not penalize her students for things that are out of their control.
  • The one thing that annoyed me was not being able to see what questions I got wrong on a test. If it is not possible to do this, then maybe give review sessions?

  • Keep up the great work! I will miss your lectures in the future as they were always a delight to be a part of.
  • Thank you!
  • I loved this class, but I'd like to see more clarification on the harder topics of the weeks mind tap chapter. Some chapters had a lot of information and the teacher only went over a few topics.
  • I appreciate the videos for the course along the way. I know it takes a while but they tend to be more helpful than reading the book.
  • Dr. Jennings was an incredible teacher and she always made class exciting, even over zoom. She did all she could to keep her students engaged.
  • All good, Just do not be tired.
